According to Malaysia latest news, Perak-born child genius Adi Putra Abdul Ghani is feeling the stress as a child wonder. Recently this extraordinary budak Melayu (Malay boy) admitted that it is a burden being called a “child genius”. He says that there are so many expectations, and it is a burden he has to carry.
In 2009, Adi Putra was already a CEO of two companies and a lecturer. According to a report, this Malay child prodigy has invented 234 new mathematical formulae and learned eight languages.
We hope this amazing young Malay genius Adi Putra will not end up like the three Malaysian child prodigies, Mohd Shukri Hadafi, and Sufiah Yusof.
1. Mohd Shukri Hadafi
In 1976, there is a Malay boy by the name of Mohd Shukri Hadafi from Baling, Kedah who amazed Malaysians with his ability to read a newspaper at a tender age of 3.
He acted in one of Jins Shamsuddin’s movie “Menanti Hari Esok” in 1977. Professor Ungku Aziz even adopted him.
2. Chiang Ti Ming
Child genius Chiang Ti Ming, from Seremban who was the youngest student ever to be admitted into the prestigious California Institute of Technology (CalTech) died 2007. He was accepted to study for the second year of the four-year Physics degree course at the university when he was 13 years old. He also went on to pursue a doctorate in the field of “Super String Theory” at Cornell University, an Ivy League institution.
3. Sufiah Yusof
Her mother is from Muar, Johor and her dad is from Pakistan. She is a celebrated child prodigy Sufiah Yusof who gained entry into St Hilda’s College, Oxford to study mathematics at the age of 13. She claimed she was being controlled and bullied by her father Farooq Yusof. At the age of, Sufiah Yusof became a prostitute under the name Shilpa Lee. Her rate was £130 per hour.
