PPStream Region Restriction: PPStream has restricted many region from watching Hong Kong drama series because of copyrighted issue. Malaysia is one of those countries barred from viewing those HK TVB series.
After souring around the Internet, I managed to seek out two sites which offer tips on how to overcome this problem. Both offer the same method, but the steps are different.
I have rewritten a more detailed tutorial based on Vedeblog post.
Remember, this tutorial is for Windows 7 only.
Before you start anything, you need to enable a hidden file. This is how you do it:
1. Click “Start” and then click “Computer”.
2. On top of the left hand corner, there is word “Organize”. Click on it and a menu will drop down.
3. Next click on”Folder and search options”.
4. A box will pop up called “Folder Options”. Select “View” tab.
5. Under the “Advance settings”, click on “Show hidden files, folders and drives”. Now click “Apply” and then “OK”.
Now all the hidden files, folders and drives can be seen.
6. Go to your C drive. Next, scroll down and double click on “Users” folder.
7. Double click on your name.
8. Double click on “AppData”.
9. Double click on “Roaming”.
10. Double click on PPStream.
11. Scroll down and double click on “ppsarea.ini”.
12. A box (called ppsarea.ini- Notepad) will pop up with code on it.
13. Delete all the code inside the box and replace it with new code below. Click File and then click Save.

14. Next, double click on PSNetwork.ini
15. Again do the same thing, delete all the code inside the file and replace it with code below. Click File and then click Save.

16. Now, right click on “ppsarea.ini file and then click “Properties”.
17. A box called “PPStream.ini Properties” will pop up. At the bottom of the box, under “Attributes”, click “Read-Only”. Click “Apply” then click “OK”.
18. Do the same thing for “PSNetwork.ini” as well.
19. Restart your PPStream. That’s all.
For Windows XP users:
You just have to replace the new code (below) for “ppsarea.ini”. only.
