Find out how I treat my itchy raised bumps skin rash with Xorsone Cream.
Some time ago, I found out that I have a skin rash on my forearm area, near to the elbow joint.
I did not know precisely when I had this skin rash problem. It had discolored patch with lots of small raised bumps.
Because of my occasional scratching, it left the patch slightly rough and flaky. (see photo below)
From what I read from the Internet, it could be one of those common skin problems.
According to dermatologists, having raised skin bumps could be an infection, an allergic reaction, a hereditary condition, or even skin cancer.
They say that most bumps need no treatment, unless they cause discomfort.
I tried applying toothpaste at night before I went to bed. This treatment only managed to reduce the itchiness for awhile.
But the skin problem was not fully treated. At first I thought of consulting a skin specialist. But then, thinking that it was nothing serious and also it is rather expensive to seek treatment from a skin specialist.
From my own personal experience, I am comfortable and confident with the service of our government hospital. The only woe is the long wait due to lots of patients.
This time around I decided to see a doctor at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) at Jalan Universiti, Kuala Lumpur.
The doctor prescribed me a cream labelled as Xorsone. After applying it over the affected area for just a couple of time, the itch was gone and gradually the rough patch was gone too. It is very effective.
