At times, when you try to watch a YouTube video, and you may come across these remarks on certain videos:
1. “This video is not available in your country”
2. “This content is not available in your country due to a legal complaint.Sorry about that.”
There is nothing wrong with your computer or YouTube.
For the first remark, it is because the owner of that video has allowed access to that video only from certain countries or geographic regions.
Your PC’s IP address falls outside that geographic region.
For the second one, that particular YouTube video is blocked in your country because they are considered as offensive or sensitive to your country.
For instance the anti-Islam trailer of “Innocence of Muslims”.
Many countries have blocked access to this YouTube video, which include Pakistan, Egypt, Libya, India and Malaysia.
In fact, now you can watch the full 1 hour 14 min 14 second movie “Innocence of Muslims” from YouTube.
Watch Blocked YouTube Through Proxy
It is no secret that many can use a proxy to bypass this particular blocked YouTube video or other blocked sites.
There are thousands of proxy sites to choose on the web. All you need to do is just google “proxy list”.
Of course not all IP addresses work. You need to try out randomly from the proxy list.
Firstly, you need to download a plugin first and then try out the IP addresses from the free proxy list. If you really want to know more details on how to watch YouTube banned video through proxy, just look up from the web. I’m sorry, I won’t be showing you how to go about it here.
Anyway, for Malaysians who are eager to watch the controversial “Innocence of Muslims“, my advice is don’t waste your time. It is a badly-made piece of muck specially made to instigate the Muslim world.
